I was sitting in Silence
Sons of Legion - "Carolina"
The whistling kicked in and immediately I closed my eyes and was transport to the fall where I sat with the friends that I now call family. Listening to our teach whistle beautiful music as I sat quietly in meditation. It gave me peace, it gave me pause to remind myself of my own strength.
"Don't cry for me Carolina, we've come to far to go back home."
While I sat with my eyes petting my dog to quell the emotion, to help it all. The vision of my previous close pal of a dog came like a vision in my head, reliving his spirit and how he helped me in times like these. The newish dog is more skiddish, hyper-vigilant, maybe the embodiment in carne of a reminder of who we are now and not what we were.
